Special Education

In addition to the general guidance of our Head of School who has years of experience as a special education teacher, APL has a number of certified Special Education teachers on staff to support our students in the classroom.

At APL, special education is not an additional service or something students leave their classroom to receive. Our entire school is built on a foundation of utilizing special education practices to make sure all of our students feel welcomed and included.

Furthermore, all of our teachers and staff attend ongoing professional development about working with students with diverse learning needs and with neurodiverse students.
