We are overjoyed to announce the October Mountain Foundation awarded $200,000 and funded the initial renovation costs into APL’s new campus home.

Over the last few months, APL has undergone a move from two campuses—separated 15-minute apart across University District—into a unified K-12 campus in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. With the support from October Mountain, APL renovated the building’s interior—and it was evidently necessary.

The difference was night and day. Worn carpets were replaced with durable flooring. Fresh coats of paint covered unsightly scuffed walls. The once dull halls brightened with a new welcoming warmth; the floors dampened the noise of a busy hallway and became a calmer learning environment. APL understands the needs of our learners. These small details: sound, texture, color made all the difference in making the campus a home for our learners.

APL could not be more grateful for October Mountain Foundation’s generous donation that made the idea of this new campus a reality.
