It's hard to
believe how time flies -- but the holiday season is certainly
here in full force!
We've had a
busy month at APL. Our big news is that we
opened a 4th classroom here at University Heights for our
2nd-3rd graders. Now each grade level (K-1, 2-3, 4-5 and
the middle school) has their own spacious classroom. The
reaction from our students has been priceless -- they are very
excited about their new room as you can see
here. This expanded space has helped their
focus and the classroom routine tremendously. This is
positive growth for our school!
We continue
building our enrichment program and have started a partnership
with Broadway Bound, fellow tenants in the
building. The staff at Broadway Bound is remarkably
talented and their ability to tailor their program for all the
various needs or age levels of our students has been
tremendous. Our students are learning about
stagecraft, imaginative play, musical interpretation and
many other skills. In fact, the upper elementary
and middle school students will be producing their
own version of Grease this Spring -- stay
tuned!
I hope all
of you have an opportunity to take a few
minutes and count your blessings during this holiday
season. Personally, I feel blessed to have the
students, staff and families at APL in my life. We
are on an incredible journey and I look forward to a busy and
successful New Year.
